Office of Administrative Rules
Administrative rules, also commonly referred to as regulations,
are laws enacted by state agencies,
as specifically authorized by legislation, to implement the statutes created by that legislation.
Before becoming effective, rules are subject to a comprehensive rulemaking process that includes review and approval by the Oklahoma Legislature.
Oklahoma’s Administrative Procedures Act creates opportunities for YOU to participate in the rulemaking process. Links available on this site will give you access to notices in the Oklahoma Register announcing proposed rules that are open for public comment. Links are also available for viewing and searching currently effective rules in the Oklahoma Administrative Code.
