Becoming a Notary Public

If you have never been a notary public before, or if your notary commission has expired or will expire by the time your application reaches our office you must pay a $25.00 fee and submit the Oklahoma Application for Notary Public Commission This process may be done online, by mail or in person.

Please allow about a 2 week turnaround to process your application by mail. There will be an additional $25.00 fee should you choose to come to our office and want the application processed while you wait.

After Your Commission Has Been Issued

Once you have received your commission from the Secretary of State's office, please proofread the commission to make sure your name is correct. The commission will be in force for 4 years. Take note of the expiration date of the commission as well as the commission number. This information will be required for your notary seal and your $1,000.00 surety bond.
